WEST JORDAN, Utah — A car accident on Monday morning has left a high school student dead and several others injured.
Jose Ceballos, 17, was ejected from a truck he was riding in along with six other people around 9 in the morning. The driver of the truck appears to have lost control and the truck rolled over.
Ceballos died at the scene of the accident and other passengers sustained minor injuries. He was a student at Copper Hills High School.
Police are still investigating the incident. Witnesses report that the truck was driving at high speeds and the roads were icy.
It appears that the passengers may not have been wearing their seat belts.
